Salwa is a quranic term that means solace and comfort. It is a gentle reminder of what our community is built to be: a soft space for Muslim women to feel held, seen, and supported.
Salwa is a social club for Muslim women in their 20s and 30s across South Africa. We host monthly gatherings that help you make friends, find community, and feel supported.
All Muslim women in their 20s & 30s are welcome, whether you come solo or with a friend.
Absolutely!! Many girls come by themselves, our events are designed to help you feel comfortable and meet new people.
We currently run events in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, and Cape Town, with more cities coming soon inshaAllah.
Every month, with each city hosting their own unique gatherings, workshops, walks, and halaqas.

There is something for everyone, from picnics, creative workshops, strolls, halaqas, and gentle girl-gatherings. All our events are centred on connection, reflection, and community.
All tickets are non-refundable. Because our events involve pre-purchased materials, catering, and set capacities, we're unable to offer refunds under any circumstances.
Tickets are non-transferable within 48 hours of the event. Before the 48-hour mark, you may resell your ticket but it is important to let us know the new attendee's details.
